10/31/22 – How It Began (but actually not really)

No, this is not the canon to how Ruyano came about. Ikino, Ruyano, and Merorin are all my OCs

There was more I could have done with this – I had decided I had wanted to do this for the last day even before the beginning of Suitober, but keeping up with my patreon obligations on top of daily drawings and other life stuff meant that while I had planned to start working on it right at the start of the month, I instead started working on it in the last week, and did the bulk of the work in the last 48 hours. Which means I didn’t have the time or energy to do as much as I might have been able to if it had had my sole attention and time. Still, I can’t say I’m unhappy with how it came out in the end.

Full disclosure, I did trace a bunch of key bodylines from Dokun27’s famous version of this meme, mostly for time efficiency. I especially wanted to make sure I got the bounce like they did. I used their version to gauge frame timings, too.

I was also considering a Cassera version titled “Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time,” where she’s happy to put on a skinsuit, but I ran into the issue of being uncertain of just what suit to put her in, and decided to stick with this version which is more self contained.

I was hoping I’d be able to get away with mirroring my frames in order to get the swing in the opposite direction, but I realized after trying it that Ruyano’s hair is asymmetric and simply mirroring makes her hair wrong. Fortunately, it was surprisingly (relatively) easy to fix and I was able to mirror most of the lineart and adjusted the hair afterwards. I should have adjusted the blush lines, too, now that I’m typing this, but that’s much less of an issue and no longer worth the effort now that I’m done.

Because of my inexperience with animation, I’m glad I opted to do the dance portion digitally. I was considering doing that traditionally as well, but lacking a light table was going to make that way harder than it needed to be, even if I had stuck to my original time table.

Could this have been more suity? Yes. It would have been nice to have a whole animation of putting on the suit before doing the dance. That also would have been several times more work than this already was. I also considered having a bouncing zipper chuck on her head, but again, I didn’t have time. Was also considering a video version with the music that’s part of the meme, too, but I don’t know my way around video editing software well enough to swing that quickly, either. That can still be done later if desired though.

Anyway, it’s been a wild Suitober as usual. The early parts were a bit easier than usual, the final stretch a bit harder. I think while most posts came more naturally to me in terms of composition and execution than last year, that was only partially cause I’ve gotten better. I also played it safer in general with a lot of days

10/30/22 – Paragon

As a kid, Golden Sun was the first game I fell in love with, and Mia was the first fictional character I became obsessed with. It can be hard to tell with the rose tinted glasses, but I think Golden Sun still holds up today, if more as an all around good jrpg, if not really anything that exceptional anymore. Back in the day though, it had impressive graphics for the hardware (gameboy advance), a comparatively simple story, but one that did a good job of really feeling like an adventure. Isaac and co. traveled all over basically two continents, and the sequel, The Lost Age, saw Felix explore every remaining nook and cranny of the world, and most of it as part of the main story, so even if you were bad at being thorough (like 11-12 year old me), you still saw a lot of the game while still having plenty of secrets for people to write GameFAQs for.

I don’t know exactly what it was about Mia, even to this day. Maybe it was more a case of encountering her in the right place at the right time, but I’ve loved her ever since. Looking back, I think she’s a big part of why I like playing support/healing roles in class/role based games. She was one of the first characters I imagined/projected myself as, in a roleplay sense as well. On the gender spectrum, I generally consider myself ranging from 70-55% male, and that 30-45% female side likely awakened with Mia back in the day.

Golden Sun stuff wasn’t among the first things I drew when I started drawing (that was Pokémon stuff way back in first gen, and then .Hack// things in middle school), but I did Golden Sun fanart in a time of my life that I look back on most fondly, so drawing Mia again like this felt like a bit of a homecoming of sorts. Even if I had to look up a reference since it has been a while, each stroke as I went felt increasingly familiar and warm.

10/29/22 – New Ride part 2

An alternate version of episode 2 of “Viper GTS.”

Finishing off from yesterday’s start. We have Ogawa fully suited and exploring what Mercedes’ body can do for him. There was more I considered doing in the third page – self-paizuri, tail into pussy, etc, but I opted to keep it simple in the end; I was already doing a lot of work for these past two days.

Aside from being quite happy with how everything came out, Carrera especially, I don’t have much else to add that I didn’t say yesterday. Oh, other than Mercedes’ “engorged” tail was weirdly shaped in the show.

10/28/22 – New Ride part 1

An alternate version of episode 2 of “Viper GTS.”

It’s time once again to skinsuit-ify a hentai I like. This year, it’s Viper GTS. With a bunch of succubi and cocky angels, this show had plenty of skinsuit potential to go around. One of (the only?) male demons even has two penises.

The first page here is a little underwhelming quality wise, but the second page came together surprisingly easily and looks pretty good all things considered. Inking comic panels in physical media is awful and that aside, I felt like I got the hang of drawing Mercedes and Ogawa both pretty quickly and even got decent at emulating the art style of the show by the second page.

In retrospect, I should have mirrored Mercedes in the third panel to better match the overall left-to-right flow – have it so that her initial reaction is on the left, and then she reacts to her hand deflating on the right. It’s not a big deal, fortunately, but it’s attention to little things like that that I think can make works really stand out.

I’m not real happy with the magic effects, but I wasn’t confident in my traditional media ability to render something really good looking, but if I had to do it over, I’m pretty sure I could do better than what I ended up with. I was just getting hasty at that point in the inking process cause it was already getting late.

Part two tomorrow is another comic page and a single image finisher, so look forward to that.

10/27/22 – Tier Boost 2

Terumi and Nine the Phantom, both from Blazblue universe.

For as… er… recklessly as I threw these two pages together (going to be a reoccurring thing for the remaining few days since I have a story more art and decided to do something dumb high effort for the final day like a masochistic idiot so I’ve been stressed tf out the last week and a half), these mostly turned out relatively well. Nine looks pretty good on the last page and actually felt a like I was getting a little closer to the kind of effort > quality that I wish I had.

I had almost forgotten that first image in today’s first page and ended up drawing it on a separate page later, scanning that and editing it all together later. If you’re not familiar with the trope of “Personality Extraction” as I mentioned yesterday, this is another part: consuming or absorbing the extracted personality allows the antagonist to gain the memories and/or abilities of the victim and/or allows them to integrate and take over their victim more smoothly, so I wanted to make sure I represented that aspect here as well, since it fits with the theme and better to make use of the extrusion already shown in the first page yesterday (rather than it never come up again).

Attentive long time fans might recognize that something like this has happened before in my art.

10/26/22 – Tier Boost part 1

Nine the Phantom and Yuuki Terumi from BlazBlue universe.

Someone was tired of being low/bottom tier so he used some underhanded play to extract the essence of a high tier character. Getting her as a skin will just be icing on the cake. How they got to this point given Nine’s power… well, I wonder, too.

I don’t think I’ve ever done “personality extraction” before, but it seemed like a slightly more interesting permutation of this idea so I figured I’d run with it. It being crunch time for the month, and still having a lot on my plate, there are a lot of little things wrong with this that I just didn’t have the energy/time to worry about. It looks good enough, and I feel marginally better about it than yesterday’s so I’ll take that.

10/25/22 – Skin Princess

Fudo as Desumi (with Professor Big Gelato) all from “Love After World Domination.”

Had some difficulty getting the legs right in this pose, but I think I ended up with something that worked. I made Fudo!Desumi’s shoulders/torso too narrow, but at the point when I realized it, it would have required moving Fudo’s entire head and redrawing a lot more than was worth doing traditionally, so I inked through it and hoped I could fix it in post, which I thank liquefy I managed to make it alright. I wanted to have the mask deform between the thighs, but I really could not get it to look right so I backed off of that and just gave it random wrinkles. I couldn’t quite get the eyes to look right either, even after attempting some postproduction corrections. Regardless, perspective and proportions are still a bit wonky in the end, and I’m not totally happy with it as a whole.

In contrast, Professor Gelato came together quickly and was quite fun.

10/24/22 – Mechabare-mon: Visionary Mechanics

“S-sorry, but please don’t stare at my eye so much. I’m a little self conscious.”

It was such an easy excuse to reduce the chances of her secret being discovered, not that most clients would be able to discern the thin line where the eye membrane parted when her pixie pilot entered the voluptuous cyclops girl’s cockpit. And with the collar plate that had been removed for maintenance restored, and calibration and refill wires and hoses removed, there was nothing outwardly apparent that gave away the fact that she was one big robot puppet.

Mechabaremon! But when I thought about it, I don’t really have any story that wouldn’t be some variant retread of mechabare-mon 1.5, so I decided better to save time and energy and just write a blurb. If I think of something better later, I can come back to it.

Cyclops girls are kinda in the “barely monster girls” wheelhouse, but making the eye the openable cock-pit I think makes this passable for the “monster girl suit” request. When I was brainstorming for monster girl suits, I ran into that a fair bit – a lot of monstergirls aren’t especially distinct from humans, usually just with extra horns, different ears, or wings and/or tails added. Sometimes fur or scales, too. It does make them easier to draw, but also feels somewhat cheap. On the opposite end, the arachne are appreciably harder to draw. I have a fondness for scyllia and lamia because they fall in the middle – having distinct enough physical traits to be an interesting derivation from human anatomy while also still being decently easy to draw. Heck, lamia might be easier than normal humans cause the snake part’s just a long noodle compared to legs. Scyllia are just many long noodles, though if you’re gonna put octopus suckers on the tentacles, that can be tedious.

Maybe shouldn’t have bothered with the collar plate bit, I like this sort of thing, but robotic stuff has never been a strong suit, and I end up making shit up more than usual when I attempt it. Sometimes it passes, like this I think looks alright, but it rarely holds up to scrutiny.

I like how most everything else came out though. The hair, head shape, and face all felt pretty good, and the neck, shoulders and down came out a little off, but easily mitigated in post. Helps that the straight on shot is an easy/comfortable one for me. My only usual struggle with it is keeping the left and right reasonably symmetrical.

I have a bad habit of drawing things too small and ending up without enough space for details, but I managed to really use as much of my page today as I could, and consequently felt like I had enough space for everything on the head/face for a change and nothing was cramped/squished.

The pixie is kinda tinker-bell-ish partially by accident, since I didn’t reference my previous fairy design for mechabare-mon, but in this case, I can just say it’s a different character. She’s got a zipper/seam along her back, too, but it’s too small to differentiate from a spinal line.

10/23/22 – Golden Woman

“Whoa, it can even do this?!”

Kintaro Oe somehow comes into possession of a skinsuit of Madame President. What will he get up to as the knockout?

Overall this came out better than expected! The hips are a bit off, and feet are still not my strong suit, but I really like how Kintaro came out, and while I was expecting President’s hair to be more of a challenge it worked out, even if it’s not perfect. I was looking at references for President’s iconic red er… outfit, but with the suit in the process of being worn, and Kintaro himself having come out well recognizable, trying to include the President’s outfit didn’t seem worth the extra effort of figuring out how it’d hang from her half-worn body. I tried to design the chair after one in a Madame President art I found advertised as a tshirt design, but ended up not really seeing enough of it to matter much.

There was a really easy title option that was spoiled by having been taken by another, far more famous TV show that really would not have been appropriate to even risk referencing.

10/22/22 – Proxy

Urahara as Yoruichi, both from Bleach

Anatomy ended up a little off in almost everything, but I couldn’t quite get all the fixes right. Chest in particular ended up not right, but I didn’t have the energy or time to scrap and restart today. I kinda like how the wrinkles in the Yoruichi mask’s neck part came out though. As happens, unfortunately, I wasn’t confident in how her hair looks when her head is upside down so I made my best approximation. Didn’t help that refs were a bit inconsistent. I think the outfit is recognizable enough though. For a change, the pencil toning turned out alright, which is nice.

I came across Bleach at pretty much the perfect time in my life. I was an early teen just discovering Shonen Jump and Bleach debuted in SJ within the first few issues I got so for a long time, I followed it as it came out in the States, eventually shifting from SJ to buying the graphic novels. As a story it was pretty formative to my tastes in manga and anime (and probably my taste for the big booba, too), though I’ve greatly diversified since then. In my “I’m gonna make my own manga” phase, I also featured weapons with souls that transformed to power up in battle. Though the “Heart weapons” as I called them also took inspiration from Rave Master, and they evolved and diverged into a greater concept, the Zanpakuto roots are still amply visible.

10/21/22 – Steamy Streamer “Duo”

Merorin ‘borrowing’ Ruyano’s suit for a little side gig, much to Ruyano’s wearer, Ikino’s surprise.

The second appearance of Ruyano’s wearer in her natural form, Ikino, returning from some university classes. I got to this later than usual, so I wanted to go for something relatively easier (I feel like I’m saying that a lot and I am aware of that), and that’s my excuse for not grabbing my ruler until long after I should have. Did a lot of haphazard liquefying in post production to try to compensate for un-straight lines that should really be straight.

I looked up only-fans for their website design to show on screen, but it turns out the site seems to just look like a twitter or FB knockoff. At least, as someone who doesn’t have an account there.

Once again, Merorin’s long hair hides her zipper. It works for her, but it makes it harder for me/us to see.

And yeah, it’s also hard to see, but she’s using a coat hanger hanging from her wrist to give Ruyano’s shoulders form.

10/20/22 – Head Start

Ruyano (OC) as Alisa Bosconovitch from Tekken Series.

Another dullahan simulation idea. A bit less ‘fool proof’ but a tad more realistic than portals. Just a tad.

Inking was real rough on this one for some reason today. Had trouble keeping control of the pens, so a lot of lines ended up rather sloppy. I drew a version of the second panel from scratch but it was so inconsistent from the first that I just copied the first over and adjusted the expressions.

Ruyano was originally supposed to be Merorin, since I used Ruyano just the other day for the Yu suit, but Merorin’s long hair was going to be a problem for this piece, both visually and conceptually, so I switched her for her shorter haired friend.

10/19/22 – Stuffed Animal

I really like this trope, especially with suiting, but it’s really hard to build a good context for it without using underaged characters.

I… didn’t give enough thought to the stuffed rabbit design prior to starting to ink and I don’t have enough experience drawing animals or stuff animals to ad lib it as I ended up doing, so Cassera here gets to play with Mr. Derpson “Turkey Legs” McHops.

Shortly after finalizing this post, I realized I should have put Cass in her usual bunny outfit since it ended up being a rabbit stuffed animal. The sailor fuku was originally a reference to the appearance of innocence that this trope tends to be best matched with.

It occurs to me later as well that if you aren’t familiar with Cassera, there’s no clear/obvious suiting to this either. Oh well.

10/18/22 – Floral

Ruyano (OC) trying on Consort Yu (FGO)’s newest skin.

Wow am I bad at floral lace. Had to take it into digital to get it to look passable, and it’s still pretty eh. The raw pencil + scan was too indistinct and started looking like er… something was leaking down her legs instead of what was intended.

Pose wise, I think I’ve seen this self ass grab pose going around my twitter feed, but not sure if it’s a thing or if it’s just been coincidence. Either way, it works for this composition at least.

10/17/22 – Stretch

Poison from Final Fight/Street Fighter; I dunno who the wearer is. Balrog maybe?

Wasn’t certain I’d get anything done today given how poorly I slept and how little time I expected to have coming into today, but I guess giving up sleep does leave one with more time… Well, that being the case, I went for another easy one today. I have some harder stuff I can try this coming week when I should hopefully be feeling better though.

The groping male hand turned out pretty good, but it’s not positioned quite where I would have wanted. It’s a little too far back on the boob. However, fixing it would have entailed more work than ultimately seemed worth and, perhaps more crucially, more paper wear. I’m unfortunately a bit heavy handed so even my “light” pencil strokes still leave topographical marks in the paper even after erasing, and the more I draw and erase over the same area, the more those marks accumulate and degrade the overall quality of the surface which can have an effect on inking and pencil toning. If I drew physically more often, it’d be something to work on, but it’s not a big enough deal most of the time.

Poison’s most recent iteration in Street Fighter V, I believe has short hair (comparatively), but since it didn’t get in the way and wasn’t too difficult to draw, I went with her long hair version cause I like long hair c: I added in her tank top later on as well, since I drew her short shorts, but don’t ask me how the former works relative to the skin.

10/16/22 – Sus Summer Kari

Something something amongus art tricks gone too far?

Kari is Veracitii’s OC

Vera’s Twitter

Vera’s DA

Was also considering a Cass unsuiting from Kari since Vera has done the reverse before, but this was more interesting and entertaining. Outfit based off the most recent Kari ref I could find. I realized too late that by turning her head 90 degrees like that, I may have obscured her most recognizable aspect in her hairstyle. Oh well.

10/15/22 – Flawed Scheme

Zeke, Pandoria, and Pyra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2

I had only had a few interactions with Zeke and Pandoria with as far as I had gotten into XB2 before it ended up shelved for Fire Emblem 3H’s release. Even so, I got a strong impression from Zeke even thinking back about him now. I remember Pandoria a bit less clearly – I think she was mostly enabling, but I may be pulling at straws thinking she sometimes was Zeke’s voice of reason. Not always, perhaps not even often, but I like to think she’s usually in command of their shared brain cell, so every now and then she’ll notice something like this, even though they’re totally gonna go through with it anyway.

As far as game stuff though, now that I have XB Definitive Edition, I’ve been slowly working through that before planning to return to XB2, and after that on to XB3. But between gacha, fighting games, anime, art, and writing, it’s been slow going getting through a single player jrpg, especially ones as long as the XB series. Still, I what I recall of XB2 I remember fairly fondly and I’m looking forward to revisiting it.

It’s been a while since I’ve drawn Pyra, and truth be told, this concept is an idea I’ve been sitting on for a few years now actually and just never got around to! It being a straight-on shot made this fairly easy, and most of it came together quickly and easily, though, as usual, I botched up some stuff in the inking phase and had to make fixes in post. I… don’t think I’ve done a pic yet this Suitober that I haven’t had to fix something in post “orz… I’m just not good at inking.

10/14/22 – Add ons

A little wordier today, making it almost more of a caption, but it is what it is.

The end bead and tufts part of Merorin’s hair should technically be visible between her legs, but when I tried sketching it in, it looked too out of place, so I took it out. I also made Ruyano complicit, since I didn’t want to be drawing her constantly uncomfortable. And yes, it hasn’t/doesn’t come up much, but Ruyano is supposed to be a bit on the buff side. I’d considered just doing Cass and then drawing a bunch of display dildos/gadgets/extenders, but decided including the other two would be better.

10/13/22 – Power of Alchemy

Cagliostro shows off the fruits of her recent labors. Gran ponders the potential of this new collection, knowing well the value of “skins.”

From left to right: Monika, Gran, Fediel, Magisa, Cagliostro, Ilsa, all from granblue fantasy

Probably should have just left the background skins in pencil. Cagliostro and Gran ended up being the easiest part of this composition somehow. I’ve drawn a lot of hanging suits, but I’ve never made enough of a real effort to study or standardize how I should execute that. This time, I asserted that the opening that the suits are hanging from is at about the nape of the neck, which would pull the shoulders up to nearly behind the head, resulting in some off-standard proportions. Fediel and Ilsa look alright, but Monika and Magisa don’t look quite right, and it was probably cause I was rushing things a bit at that phase. I was a little concerned that Gran’s posing wouldn’t come through, because him holding/stroking his chin is completely invisible from this angle, but I think it ended up okay, though that might just be me knowing what I was trying to portray.

10/12/22 – Reversal

The task of “upsidedown” suiting is always a bit extra weird and requiring additional suit-magic suspension of disbelief but it presents some interesting opportunities. The suiter was originally a nameless invented OC for this, since none of my existing OCs are quite this flexible, but she ended up looking a little young by accident and I realized Juri from streetfighter would be a good suiter for this so I went back and drew an edit before scanning. That’s why the end suit woman is not any particular character (though she does resemble Sonya from Fire Emblem by accident). There was a lot to touch up and fix in post, but it is how it is.

10/10/22 – Rite of Admission

AU featuring a different truth to “Sayaka Koyanagi’s” preference towards girls.

Clair and Sayaka from Gleipnir

Seeing such an easy opportunity to insert my favorite suiting trope meant I had to go for it at some point. To explain for those who haven’t seen it, Sayaka’s the leader of a small group in the show that the main characters try to get close to. Sayaka lets them join but only if Clair participates in a rite of admission that engages with her unique power to ensure that no one in the group will betray the group. Clair agrees and they go off in private where Sayaka, in canon, gets quite handsy and intimate with Clair before Clair cuts her off. The audience finds out Sayaka’s a lesbian in the ensuing dialogue.

With all those points in place, it’s not hard to imagine an AU where Sayaka’s actually a guy who’s power is skinsuiting using Sayaka’s form and the guise of being a “lesbian” to get girls to do it with “her” strap-on, especially if it’s a coercive condition for admission to their group. It’s a common trope, but needing so little alteration from the canon to make work made it a great fit and fun to imagine. Sayaka even has a choker to cover the skinsuit seam on her neck!

Art wise, I realize this is a fairly repeated composition for me as well, but I needed something easy and familiar since I didn’t have a lot of time today. Gave myself a second chance to draw Clair, and I think I did a little better, but she probably still isn’t recognizable on her own, though this time at least, that’s mostly media limitations/inexperience. Sayaka turned out pretty well though, I think.

10/8/22 – Inside Joke

Some Kitty Kissers love! Featuring a casual redesign for Chell, casual Jack and some random guy friends. All original characters currently under the custodianship of ShadowKitty252. If you don’t know them, go read this collab story on DA that I helped with.

While I knew drawing 4-5 frames would be a lot of work, drawing mostly chibis was supposed to make it easier, but of course, I’m so used to fuller proportions that getting chibis to look right is actually almost harder for me now. Add to that physical media limitations, I threw out the page I was working on and started over from scratch three times with the comic portion before I managed to get something I felt decently enough about to ink. It still looked better in my head, but this is good enough for me to move on with.

10/7/22 – “Cool”

In an AU where Ginkaku and Kinkaku prevailed…

(Ginkaku as Samui, both from Naruto)

Started this one with Samui skinsuit nude, but decided putting her clothes on her, while more work in the end, would make her a tad more recognizable, and make the whole thing more DA safe. Ginkaku could stand to have been even thicker/heftier overall, I’m just bad/unaccustomed to drawing that body type. Ginkaku also has a bit darker skin, but, without color, the value of his skin tone would have ended up too close to what I used for his pants and would not have looked good. Since the pants represent far more space in the composition than Ginkaku’s bare skin, I left the latter un-toned.

Using Samui for something was a request from my discord, as were and will be, a number of this year’s suitober pieces. If you’re in my discord, feel free to drop suggestions in the #feedback channel if you have any (yes, even now), with the caveat that I’m being a bit more picky about what I accept, cause I’m doing these gratis.

10/6/22 – Dupe

:T

Cassera (OC) as Keqing (Genshin Impact)

Picked a character + game that doesn’t really benefit much from getting dupes, even though this kinda give a context where any combination would work. Splashed some color just because the suit’s hair ended up falling in a way where her most identifiable parts are largely covered (the hair-ear things). Really phoned in the perspective on the gacha machine, too, not to mention that extra pencil line was supposed to indicate where the front glass parts, but I didn’t really convey that well.

10/5/22 – Slime Queen 2

At first I had thought that I had been summoned to the distant past. The world was so much more primitive, harsh, and uncomfortable than the modern world I had been born into. I wasn’t cut out to be an adventurer, so the hero’s party that summoned me cut me off quickly.

“What do I do now?” I asked them. “How can I return home?”

“That’s not our problem,” the hero’s party told me. “We need to figure out how to beat the Demon Lord, we don’t have time to babysit dead weight.”

The village they dumped me in wasn’t much better. I didn’t look like the natives of this time so I was regarded with fear and suspicion, even as I felt myself weakening from hunger. I was quickly chased out even as I cried and begged for mercy, for humanity.

Left abandoned with no purpose, no resources, and no love for this world I’d been cast into, I took refuge in a cave, half wondering if I couldn’t at least make myself useful as food for some monsters. Maybe they’d then go and raze the village for me.

But the cave housed no monsters. As I ambled deeper into the darkness, I was just beginning to wonder just how deep the cave went when my fumbling hand fell upon something unexpectedly familiar.

“Beep. Biometric chip detected. Welcome, ‘Finian.'”

A light flash blinded me momentarily, but when my eyes recovered, I saw an opening in the darkness. It was then that I realized that I was neither in another distinct parallel world, nor the distant past, but instead, the distant future of my own world. Passing through the portal, I found myself in what I can only assume was a functioning relic of my era. Monitors flickered on, showing a comfortingly familiar script.

That was how I discovered my new home. Between the location and facilities equipped within, I gleaned that someone else from my time had lived here before in the present era. Whoever it had been had repurposed and preserved the familiar robotics to hide the small safe haven. There was an emergency rations vault that fed me in my time of need back then, and a cooking bot that could produce tasty meals through molecular recombination of surprisingly mundane raw materials. I also found a closet of a few skins originally for robotic drones. Remembering a scandal back in my time about a man wearing a female skin himself to scam people, I realized I could probably don one myself and start over in this world, free of the shackles of my present unwelcome appearance. An option to keep in mind, yet the hideout’s original inhabitant likely only used them for excursions into the world – the coziness and how well equipped it was, the hideout felt distinctly lived-in.

The last inhabitant had also even given it a guard – a “queen slime.” I must have walked past it unknowingly in the dark. Donning the control circlet and gloves, I spent some time learning to control it. With no purpose or goal and only a smoldering resentment for this world, I had all the time in the world to learn to control the queen slime. It was more powerful than it looked, able to carve rock from the walls of the cave with little effort. Even with my knowledge of technology long lost to the present world, I didn’t truly understand how it worked or how I could control it so freely via just a multitude of nearly invisible wires. The wires limited it to the cave, but as a guard, it would be effective enough.

Mastery without purpose leads to the development of some… odd proclivities however. Insulated and safe though I had become in the bubble of my own time, my brooding disdain for the world grew, as did my loneliness, and the two melded in a way I wouldn’t have been proud of had I still held much stock in morality.

At first, I attempted to satisfy more carnal needs by forming the slime into the form of a woman. The novelty was delightful, but as with all novelty, it grew stale over time. Then I remembered the skins and incorporated them into my hedonistic play – both wearing one myself and inserting the slime woman into one, and eventually both. Experiencing sex as a woman kept me entertained for a while, but eventually, even that ran its course. Finally, I decided to leave the cave.

Striking out as a woman with short fair hair, I called myself “Mara,” and found the village much more hospitable. I came in rags and was fed and clothed out of pity and mercy. Had that been my first experience with the village, it may have heartened me, but seeing the difference in treatment between me and “Mara” first hand only stoked my resentment. I was an awkward woman, having lived most of my life as a man, but one thing I learned was that the before the allure of an attractive body, the unguarded idiocy of men was timeless.

On a whim, I lured a male adventurer that I had become friendly with to the bedroom. It was a fun experience, laying with another for the first time, but I longed to be in control. Leaving him a note, I slipped out in the night and returned to my cave. As predicted, the adventurer followed, concern and confusion in his gait. “Why would Mara come to such a place?”

“Master Tarrow?” Mara’s voice squeaked weakly.

“Mara! Are you okay?” Tarrow called out, his eyes finally adjusting to the low lighting.

“Tarrow! She’s- Aaah! She’s cu- stop… don’t. No more! Tarrow, help me!”

It was a challenge, but I finally felt a rush that my life had been missing.

“The adventurer fancies himself a hero, huh? Heh… but are you prepared to face a slime queen!?”

I grinned. To the frantic man, it would appear as if his precious Mara had been captured by a female slime, her tentacles entangling the poor woman, several even in the process of violating her. Yet it was all a front.

Controlling not only the slime queen, but using her tendrils to fill out and puppet the Mara skin was the most technically difficult thing I had attempted, and yet, seeing how it riled up the adventurer made it the most rewarding. He drew his sword and jumped at his perceived foe only for Mara to get in his way. He couldn’t swing at her, so he tried to catch her, but only to be caught himself. She was far stronger than she looked, with a monster’s tentacles empowering her limbs and by the time a perverse grin had spread across her lips preceding a sudden kiss, it was too late for him to react to the thick tentacle sliding out of her mouth into his gagging him as her embrace restricted his movements. Pinned to the ground, I made him watch as Mara peeled her face off on top of him, using the slime queen’s other tendrils to fish out and tease his erect member, taunting him along the way.

I toyed with him till he passed out, shooting blanks. Even without touching myself, the experience, aided by tactile feedback through the slime queen’s mental interface, had pushed me to the best orgasm of my life. Literally screwing someone from the village I despised so much was a delightful combination of cathartic and pleasurable.

If only the slime queen were not restricted to the cave by the wiring necessary for controlling the complexity of her plastic form. Still, perhaps there was more that I could do once Tarrow brings back word of the monster in the cave. I was certainly looking forward to having new playthings, whether I had to lure them out myself or not.

This image was the first I drew in this pair, and initially I’d hoped I could convey the idea of [puppet master remote controlling slime monster that was in turn using tendrils to puppet a skinsuit to pretend to be a hostage], but as I was working on this image, I was already running into presentation challenges. I knew I could theoretically convey this telescoping cascade of puppeteering through a vanishing point perspective, looking over the shoulder of the hidden puppet master would show the hostage’s back so I could show the tendrils going inside her… but how clear would it be that that was what was happening? Not to mention, how could I effectively “hide” the real puppet master? I think my original thinking was still brainstorming with digital tools, such as opacity – something my skill with physical media can’t effectively emulate. Putting the slime queen and her hostage puppet and the adventurer on a screen isolated them from the puppet master, but since I value clarity, I chose to make the scenario less ambiguous by doing the first part.

Of course, even after posting that first part, with the second part already done, I was still doubting the clarity of the situation, so I ended up writing a short story to go along with it. Was it necessary for understanding? Maybe not, but I figured my fans would probably appreciate the extra content regardless.

Process wise, I actually drew the adventurer too small originally, but instead of trying to erase what I had, I redrew him bigger on a separate piece of paper, cut him out and taped him on top of the too-small version, then edited out the tape/seam artifacts in post production. Obviously also added the darkness of the hideout and the glow of the monitors in post as well.

I’m glad Joey commented on the wires I included in the first part on twitter, even if it wasn’t clear that’s what they were then. I try to include hints and foreshadowing and bits that offer extra context to the attentive viewer/reader but it can be hard to know if people notice so I appreciate when people comment about such observations.

10/4/22 – Slime Queen 1

This took a bit because I actually ended up doing both parts one and two today. I’ll save part two for tomorrow since I did enough work for both days and wanted to work ahead so that my timing was a bit more flexible. If today’s pic was already done yesterday I can post it after I wake up, and then I can work on tomorrow’s pic at any point throughout the day, even later, without having to worry about getting it out in a reasonable time.

So anyway, about this piece specifically. I did part 2 first hoping it’d be good enough stand alone to convey the idea I wanted to get across, but after inking it, I started doubting that it was, so I ended up making this page so that I could frame the second one more clearly. I’ll talk more about my intentions with the second page tomorrow.

As usual, scanning butchered the pencil toning but it doesn’t seem too fatal, but is still a real shame. Otherwise though, Mara and Slime Queen both turned out pretty good for ad-libbing their poses based on how I drew them in part 2. Tracking the tentacles between the two shots was the hardest part, and I had to change somethings between them for presentation’s sake.

10/3/22 – This Place Belongs to Me

Elena as Clair to Shuichi’s alarm. All chars from Gleipnir.

I screwed up Clair’s face cause I tried to angle her head downwards and I’m bad at that angle, so it doesn’t really look much like her :T I was using pictures of a figure as ref for Shuichi’s open form, but I admittedly didn’t fully understand what I was looking at for parts of it, so I just copied the general forms and it looks okay, but probably wouldn’t hold up to scrutiny.

10/2/22 – Voice Actor

An idea I had, as usual, inspired by some random hentai I happened upon recently. After some indecision over how I wanted to try framing/posing/angling the composition, I ultimately decided short comic form with dialogue would be the clearest way to convey what’s going on. Before ending on the comic form, I was considering attempting some overhead fish-eye type perspective, but I definitely was not confident I’d be able to pull that off, especially not on physical media, and not wanting to spend too much time on it, I ended up with this instead.

In my pencil sketches, the girl wasn’t Merorin – it was a nameless generic girl with a pony tail and a turtleneck sweater, but once I started inking I was like, “Wait, I can use an OC here.” Of course that ended up meaning I had to make some adjustments on the fly while inking. I didn’t plan out much of the background either so most of that was improvised in the inking phase. As a result, I did have several touch ups and errors to fix in post.

10/1/22 – Suitober Splash

As always, going back to physical media immediately makes me miss digital conveniences. Undo is a given, but I’ve also come to find liquefy and move tools invaluable, even in the sketching phases. Was considering just staying digital this year, but even if it means wrestling with my scanner daily, I do kinda like the novelty of having 31 physical pictures to behold by the end.

Not much else to say here. These are my OCs, Merorin, Cassera, and Ruyano from left to right, if you haven’t met them yet.

Shifting away from the “inktober” event name for reasons related to the event name. Thus, use Suitober2022 to search the blog for this year’s entries.
